Meet the Team!

Brandy is the strategy superstar at Five & Dime! You may know her work through her former role as the Tourism Director of Visit Ashland, KY. During her time there, Brandy and her team brought incredible events like Cosmic Holler Film Fest, Burger Week, and Pink Weekend to life. Under her leadership, Ashland, KY was named SOAR’s City of the Year in 2023, and Ashland was awarded the Annual ARC Conference for the first time.

Brandy’s roles at Five & Dime include business management, website design, strategy, and social media management. If her average of 1 million social media impressions per month at Visit Ashland, KY has any indication, Brandy is ready to smash your strategy and socials out of the park. 

In a fomer life, this Pikeville College grad was actually a college athlete and played in the Women’s Basketball NAIA National Tournament. She has 2 maine coons named Holly and Jan, can quote any line you wish from The Office, and believes in hard work (and maybe aliens). 

Brandy is also part of the KY Farmers Bank Board of Directors, Highlands Museum Board of Directors, FIVCO Regional Strategic Planning Committee, NEKY Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Kentucky Power Community Advisory Panel - Ashland Region.

Brandy brings strategy, creativity, and just the right amount of fun to every project she touches. Or, in the words of Michael Scott: “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence, and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”

Madeline is the queen of all things creative at Five & Dime! Also a highly sought-after muralist in the Tri-State, you’ve definitely seen at least one of her murals if you’ve spent any time in Downtown Ashland. In fact, The Tipton Creative has completed over 90 murals and brand design projects since 2021! 

Madeline’s roles at Five & Dime include brand strategy & design, high-level creative strategy, and social media management. Her wealth of experience proves that she’s a visionary who helps people push the boundaries of their brand & creativity by specializing in branding that is meaningful, strategic, and drives community buy-in.

On any given morning, you’ll likely find her, dirty chai in hand, talking about crafting or showing off photos of her cats. If you’re lucky, she might even show you her running list of hot dog spots that she’s ranked from best to worst!

Madeline is passionate about mental health, especially for business owners, and has dedicated her time to growing as an entrepreneur and representative of her community through programs like BRIGHT Leadership KY 2023. Her efforts are evidenced by her awards and achievements, such as Young Entrepreneur of the Year: 2024, Northeast KY Small Business Awards, and Invest 606, where she was a finalist in 2024. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020 from Morehead State.

Courtney is our brightest ray of sunshine and the professional people person at Five & Dime! She also has deep roots in tourism thanks to her time as the Director of Boyd County Tourism, where she started their online presence from scratch during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as the Assistant Director of Visit Ashland, KY.

Courtney’s roles at Five & Dime include proposals, client communication, social media management, and, most importantly, an emotional support person! When we asked her about this, she said, “I’m passionate about making people feel genuinely included. Emotional support is kind of my superpower! I hope to be the ultimate support person for all of our clients.” We promise you, she’s one of the best to ever do it and will be beloved by all of our future clients. 

As a wife & mom to Hank & Hardy, and a dog mom to Charlie & Nova, life is busy but sweet! Courtney loves all things pink and is a diehard iced coffee girlie, no matter what the thermometer says. She’s inspired by color and texture and is the queen of the hot girl walk while listening to a good podcast. This self-described “aspiring coastal grandmother” is an extroverted introvert who will rally for a social moment and sleep it off later. 

Courtney graduated from Lee University and planned to remain in Tennessee, but she was so inspired by the exciting changes happening in Ashland that she moved home to be part of the growth. We’re so glad to have her, and we can’t wait for you to know and love her as we do!
